Norman’s Bio

Norman has been performing Southern Gospel music since he was in 7th grade when he began singing in a quartet with his brothers, Ron, Glenn, and Todd.  Norman developed an ear for harmony sitting next to his mother in church where he learned the alto line.  He grew up in a small country church that was blessed with musical talent and the Sunday evening song service was taken from the "Heavenly Highways Hymnal" that contained many Stamps Baxter songs with alto, tenor, and bass leads in the choruses.  It was not uncommon for the music leader to call out 4 names and have them stand up and sing a quartet special!  In high school, Norman started a quartet with some of his high school friends, Steve Miller, Janis Bounds (now Janis Miller), Judy Weber, and Carol Rutherford.  The group was called "First Hope".  Norman and his brothers Ron and Todd began singing as a trio in 1989 and brother Glenn joined them in 1990 to re-form "The Forman Brothers Quartet."  Along the way, Norman also joined his three brothers in becoming an ordained minister of the gospel.  He continues to do revivals and fill the pulpit as a supply preacher whenever he is called.  Norman's life verse is Philippians 4:4 with the belief that we wouldn't have time to worry about our needs if we placed the needs of others first in our lives.

Norman enjoys travel, golfing with his wife Marty, fishing on the river, and of course singing!  Norman accepted Jesus as his Savior on January 25, 1966 at the age of 8.  In November of 1979, he surrendered to the call to preach although he didn't start preaching until July of 1996 when he was called to pastor the same church his dad had pastored in the 1970's.  In October of that year, he was ordained to the gospel ministry.  Norman married Marty in July of 2010.  They started singing with Steve and Janis Miller as Praises To HIM Quartet and continued until Steve and Janis retired from traveling at the end of 2016.
